I never really thought of my home town as a vacation destination when I was younger and growing up. It was a beautiful place, and there was a great lake nearby, but it didn't seem as if anything unique to me. I guess that I sort of took it for granted, if you wish to know the truth. One day, the only people I ever saw around were townspeople, and practically the next day, there were all these vacationers leasing cabins and cottages.

People would save money on paying the rates for Santa Barbara hotels by leasing a cottage for the entire season! I looked at the nightly rate at Santa Barbara hotels versus the season rate of the bungalows, and it made lots of sense.
Seeing all of these folks getting cottage rentals got me thinking. I realized that I had not ever done any overseas traveling, and that I most likely should while I'm still young. I am kind of a homebody on the whole. Usually, I'm glad going to work, getting a drink or two at the pub after work, and going home to enjoy a great book or movie. It does not take very much to make me glad. Nonetheless, I have always wanted to travel - particularly to Europe. I have some family members in England who I have not ever met, and it appears like the perfect time to go and visit them. If I can find cottages to rent, we can all get away for a bit and enjoy the well-known English countryside together.
Since that time, I have been investigating British cottages for rent. I had not truly been prepared for how much it costs to travel abroad. Still, I've been saving and saving money for awhile, so it should not be too difficult to afford a couple of weeks in the British countryside this summer time. I actually think that I have found a bungalow to rent that's perfect for my needs. I am not sure yet, but it is looking increasingly better. Even though it's outside of town just a bit, you can still ride the bus in to London. This means that I am able to visit the countryside, but have a bit of time in the city as well! I cannot wait to go!
