What about hot conditions? Camping overnight in summer requires that you must camp on the windward side of the mountain instead of the leeward side as the wind will keep you cooler.
DD Hammocks also claim that camping near a stream or lake can be up to 4 degrees Celsius cooler than the surrounding places because generally the air is cooled as it blows over the water.
From an environmental perspective, these sorts of camping hammocks are excellent as they do not disturb the ground cover vegetation and they are simple to set up and take down.
They are also ideal for backpackers who don't want the extra weight and space allocation that a regular tent needs, but do want something that is comfortable, safe and sturdy to sleep in night.
