Outhouse dog training is usually one of the hardest training procedures, as it compels you to be alert and able to read your dog's body signals. Your dog can't tell you when he has to empty out, but he will usually give you some indication of his intention. People make the mistake of thinking that their dog will bark when he needs to go out, this may be the case with some dogs but believe me, this is generally not the case. When reprimanding your dog for emptying out on the carpet, remember that we were once young and did not use the proper toilet facilities. Your dog should be house trained, and this can be done in a few easy steps, and with a certain amount of patience. To begin with, I would recommend putting some newspaper in front of the back door and when you notice him start to empty out in the house you can quickly lift him to the newspaper and he will soon learn that if he needs to empty out when you're not there to let him go outside, then he has to empty out on the newspaper.
The next thing you need to watch for, when giving your dog some outhouse dog training, is that most dogs, when they want to go outside, will start to get restless and start sniffing around. This is the moment to pick him up and take him outside. When he is still very young, you should take him outside regularly.
When you take him outside you can make remarks like, empty out now, or do your business, or whatever command you want to use when indicating to your dog that it is okay for him to relieve himself. Once he has done his business you must give him lots of affection, naturally it's a good idea to wait until you are satisfied that he is done. He will soon come to learn that outside is the place to do his business and will soon start asking to go outdoors.
There are many books available about outhouse dog training all of which, use different techniques and programs. No dog is going to understand straight away that outside is the place to empty out. He has to learn and you should persistently instruct him.
