A Beautiful Present For My Gorgeous Fiance - White Gold Cross Necklace
I wanted to get my wife something extremely special for our anniversary. This would be our first anniversary and I simply really wished to articulate my love and my faith with an awesome present. I was contemplating a lot of white gold jewelry. This is because my wife likes silver more than gold, but I want to give her something of the utmost value. I come across a sterling silver cross necklace, but this isn't quite what I am looking for. I want something of value, but not quite as expensive as the platinum cross necklace I found!
I go on searching. As I am searching I think about my gorgeous wife. I think about how true her faith is and how much I respect her for that. I want to buy her something that exhibits my admiration, my adoration, and my appreciation. I find a few extremely pretty white gold cross earrings, however she already has a lot of earrings. Thus I keep searching.
I finally discover what I am searching for--a white gold cross necklace. It is plain, simple, and absolutely beautiful--just like my wife. I am sure she will love it. I instinctively purchase it the moment I find it.
Unfortunately, the way that I am, I'm totally confident when I purchase the gift, but the time between then and giving it to her I convince myself it was wrong, I fret and worry. What if a white gold cross necklace isn't the perfect present to give my partner? She deserves the finest, is it the best I can do?
So, after making myself sick for two weeks distressing over my wife's reaction to her new white gold cross necklace, I give it to her.
I hold my breath.
She begins crying! Oh my goodness, what have I done? I nearly begin crying as well, I attempt to ease her and then she looks at me, and she says,
"Dear, this is the most beautiful white gold cross necklace necklace I have ever seen and I feel blessed to boast a partner such as you who will think to give it to me."
Okay, great, I can begin breathing again, she doesn't hate me... hang on, she really likes it...wow, I chose something really good for my wife? Well, that's what she says.
I now know that when I am looking to purchase jewelry for my wife, I should always go with my gut instinct. I've known her long enough to know what she likes and she wears that white gold cross necklace daily, so I'm pretty sure I did a good job.
